About me
Hello Everyone,
Welcome to Inspired to Run. My name is Kristin. I am a 40 something mom of one, and I love to run. I decided to write this blog to share my love of running, and some of the tips and tricks I have learned during my running journey. I am not an elite athlete by any means, but you do not need to be to set big goals and accomplish them.

My Running Journey
Running was never my thing. I was that girl in high school, that would walk the mile during physical fitness testing on purpose. In my late 30’s, I joined the local YMCA. I never really exercised much before, but I wanted a healthier change in my life. After establishing a good routine, I found that I actually enjoyed exercise.
One day at the YMCA, I decided to just run a little on the track, and I ran a full mile. I had never done this in my life, and as a result had never been so excited to run again. Immediately I asked a couple friends to run a 5 K with me. Once I completed the 5 k race, I was hooked. A year and a half later, I decided to complete a full marathon and the rest is history.

Where Will My Running Adventure Take Me
Because I have run many different types of races ranging in distance from 5 k to 50 K in the past few years, I have found that my true love is trail running. Northeast Wisconsin is where I call home, and am blessed to have multiple different trails to run right within a short drive from my front door. As I delve deeper into trail running, I invite you to come along for the ride.
Running has been a part of my life over four years, and will continue to take me to new places. I am always looking for the next goal to set or something new to inspire me to go further. I hope you will join me on this journey!
